On Save Me A Seat, the follow-up to her 2010 debut, singer / songwriter / bassist Kate Burkart takes a clear-eyed look at connections - what do they mean, and why do they matter?

Kate's first album took a hard stance on interpersonal conflict. The six songs on Save Me A Seat are more contemplative, while continuing to examine relationships - with loved ones far away, and the loved ones right next to us.

One thing that hasn't changed is Kate's signature: a direct, intimate approach to singing and songwriting. The lyrics go deeper this time, and her rich voice complements the soaring guitar work of producer and guitarist James DePrato, known for his key role in Chuck Prophet's band, the Mission Express.
